Figured out why leg day was crappy - Duh?

I went up 20 lbs on my deadlifts because of that little trick I did with the straps. I added an extra day between the squats and Deadlifts.
Back on top BABY.
I didn't post my Bench day because nothing really changed. No weights nothing. I did however add Preacher Curls to my Biceps instead of alternate dumbbell curls -- Great boost for awhile
Legs were today-- I didn't post back because I was too tired. So I will post legs again today and I will post back and shoulders on Saturday.
I went to the squats today a little leary.
After the first set I loaded the plates. I only added 5 lbs but I didn't feel fatiqued. The extra day of rest really did the trick.
semi straight deadlifts. -- I am a freak of nature on this lift. I can almost do as much on this lift as my regular deadlifts. My legs aren't getting sore anymore - though that is not necessarily and indicator it isn't working for me.
I am going to try some new hamstring movements next week.
Leg curls -- felt wimpy after the deadlifts. Maybe next week I will do them first. 135lbs
Calves - Standing -- Rack I am going to go to the smith machine next week and load up.
The machine seems really crappy.
Seated Calves 3 plates and a dime.
I have an idea for a calf machine - I hate working them so I had an idea. I will draw them up and try to patent it before I post the design.

I came close to not being very Christian like today during my squats. I hit a brick wall today. The weights felt like I was lifting a ton.
I started my decent on my next to the last set on rep 4 and nothing.
It was weird. I felt my leg muscles firing and they felt strong. My brain was talking to my legs but I kept slowly going down to the safety catches. It was like my brain didn't fire off the other 50 muscle fibers to help out the fatiqued fibers.
semi straight deadlifts were strong - did them after squats. I went up 10 lbs here.
Is this weird. I can straight-leg deadlift roughly 50 lbs less than my regular deadlifts.
I know I am doing them using the right form because I have had other professional trainers check out my form when I told them. They thought I was lieing so I had to prove it to them.
Diet was good today - 3400 calories
2 power shakes - 1.5 gallons of water - I am going to up my water some.
Kids are doing good, wife is great.
Getting ready for a competition is pretty expensive. I am glad I am not going to compete until October. I may have to look for some sponsors.

I learned something amazing -
I was going heavy on my deadlifts. I don't do 400 but I am now doing reps of 5 with 325. I know I need work but usually what would give out on me is my grip. I have never been a big fan of straps because I think it provides a crutch and it makes your forearms look like toothpicks but-- CHECK THIS OUT.
I was getting discouraged so I thought, what the heck, let's get out my straps. Well, as luck would have it, I couldn't find one of my straps and I kind of noticed my right hand was giving out more so I decided to use one strap on my right hand.
I performed the deadlift with ease. Something else happened though that was incredible. It felt different doing the deadlift as if I had a strap on the left hand too. I decided to do an experiment and so I put the strap on the other hand.
I did the deadlift perfectly and my right hand didn't get the slightest tired.
Today I woke up and my forearms and wrists are equally sore and my deadlifts went up 20 lbs again.
I started out at 280.
Bent over back rows felt cleaner on the lifts but didn't really go up.
Military press OK - went up 5 lbs
lateral raises. I went up 5 and the lifts felt clean and productive.

My wife is scared for him leaving the house and he wants to ride his skateboard NOT!
Emily is lonely because her friend across the street moved. I am trying to find another good friend.
My daughter Amber is applying to every college known to mankind.
Calories 3100 water 1.4 gallons - I am going to back off the calories a little bit and change my macronutrient ratios to a higher carbs for a while. Not by much - 35%pro. 45%carbs 20%fat.
I don't feel fat or anything but I am feeling too full and sluggish. I will take the extra carbs after my workout and I will make it slightly higher glycemic.

I was more scared than my son. He is fearless.
Surgery lasted only 30 minutes but the whole process took from 9:30 am to 8:25 pm.
The decided to slip in a patient before us, that just so happened to be a HIP replacement with complications.
Its done. I will post my routine and diet for today later this evening.
I had somebody send me an email asking what protein I was taking again and where the could get some.
I personally only buy all my stuff on line from FITRX because they are one of the few vendors that carry Beverly International Products. If you want the best price on the best products, you need to go to FITRX and get Beverely Products.
I am not a big supplement guy and I only use
some meal and protein/Carb shakes, branch chain aminos, Glutamine and a great Multivitamine all from Beverly. I have tried other cheaper brands but this stuff is the best in my opinion.

Yep-Doc said My son needs a couple of pins in his hands - It's called percutaneous pinning of the 5th meta carpal.
The Doc said that it would not slow the healing down any and the pins would come out in 5 weeks.
I am scared about my son going under anesthesia though. That is always a risk.
My mom is kind of mad I think because she really believes Dillon could have walked away somehow.
My son Dillon's friend came by with his little sister and they gave my youngest daughter a barbie mansion. This thing has an elevator that automatically goes up and down. Really cool gift for a 6 year old.
Anyway -
Chest: Bench press - I got my 6th rep on my last set for 315. YEAH.
Incline Press No dumbbells - went with a bar. WOW BIG DIFFERENCE. I could only do 225 for 4 on my last set - really scary--I will be able to improve alot here.
Barbell Curls - Good day but my biceps are actually looking too big for the rest of my body. I am going to keep going pretty heavy but I don't want to look goofy. 130lbs for 5 on my last set
close grip bench - I am a wimp - I don't know why close grip bench hurts my wrists so much. I know not to get my hands to close together but it is just an cumbersome movement for me. Don't laugh-165lbs for 8 on my last set. I can go up next week but that is pathetic.
Tricep Press (skull crushers) After close grip, all I could get out of me was 135 for 4 on my last set. Considering I can only do 165 for close grip, you would think I could only do 80lbs on this exercise. -- I am going to do decline tricep next week.
Two sets of leg raises 20 reps
two sets of ball crunches 30 reps
1.6 gallons of water
3300 calories - need 3500 but I am ok I think. I feel pretty strong but I will raise my calories back to 3500 and see if I can get some better performance.
